This is a small collection of my musings and makings, all in the one spot.
Born, bred and buttered in Naarm/Melbourne, you can catch me pedalling furiously up and down the Merri Creek on my way to something that I am late for, foraging for edible weeds in public parks, or making mosaics in the back shed. I compost ideas I've outgrown and feed my failures (and hair clippings) to the worms.
I like collecting stories, and I'm a sucker for a good yarn. Over the last few years I've been learning to wield a microphone to gather words and sounds, which I then weave up into audio stories. The hours I will happily sink into shifting around tiny little parcels of sound is astounding. Once a month, I host Out of the Blue, a show about our coasts and oceans, on 3CR 855AM radio.
I'm interested in the ways in which humans are shaped by place, and in turn how they shape the places they live in. I refer to humans in the third person as though I am not one myself.
