The Community of Elands is tucked away in the remote reaches of the Bulga plateau, on Biripi Country in NSW, where old growth forests remain standing as a testament to the community's decades-long fight against logging. 

This story traces the history of the alternative community on the Bulga Plateau, the emergence of the campaign to save its old growth forests, and its recent reincarnation which has emerged to both agitate against logging, and strengthen community resilience to the impending challenges of climate change.
